Nike Air Max 90 & 1 Engineered Mesh

The Nike Air Max 90 has been featured in a huge array of different colours over the years and it seems to always come back to that legendary infrared that drives people crazy. It’s not just the numerous colourways that have made this a classic silhouette though, it’s also had its fair share of materialistic facelifts since its original creation back in 1990. Patent leather, suede, nubuck, nylon, Hyperfuse, faux-Ostrich skin, Torch mesh, Vac Tech, Flywire (the list goes on), each one allowing this famous style to evolve yet still retain its original character.

It’s not just the upper that has been altered in the past, we’ve seen 360 Air Units, flexible Free outsoles, even rumours (circa 2010) of a LunarMax 90, all have contributed in evolving one of Nike’s most popular trainers to date. This year however sees the AM90 return in its original glory but with one slight alteration. Built with a near one-piece upper, the Nike Air Max 90 Engineered Mesh features the brands latest breathable mesh upper. Designed with cleverly placed perforations and toned down thermoplastic hints, Engineered Mesh gives the ’90’ a contemporary look and feel. The bold infrared is still hugely present on all levels, while the clean white interior of the Air Bag now sees itself in black – all aspects that make this a classic in its own right.

The Nike Air Max 90 Engineered Mesh is available now in all size? stores and online priced at £105 and will shortly to be followed by an Engineered Mesh Air Max 1 early next week, priced at £95.
