Introducing: Komono

Komono was established in 2009 by Belgium designers Anton Janssens and Raf Maes who set out to create quality products that combined style with a retro-futuristic slant. Sharing a passion for good design, travel, photography and classic furniture, the pair, who had both recently retired from professional snowboarding, started to work with street-wear labels, distributing them across Belgium.

Janssens and Maes soon found there was a gap in the market for an accessories brand that blurred the boundary between classic and modern looking products at a price point accessible to all. Komono started off with a collection of watches and soon followed with a range of sunglasses that captured the right blend between design and fashion, minimalism and bold colour and timeless style with a modern twist.

Offering something for all tastes, Komono’s latest collection takes the brand’s journey a stage further than ever before, choosing the road less-travelled to discover new patterns, shapes and textures to be inspired by.

Featuring the Wizard (£60) and Winton (£80) watches, both complete with Japanese Quartz movement, leather or patterned textile straps, metal cases and easy-to-read faces. Also the the Clement (£40), Rafton (£40), Bennet (£45) and Allan (£60) sunglasses, which feature UV 400 protection scratch-resistant lenses and high quality optical hinges.

The Summer 2014 Komomo collection is available in selected size? stores and online now.
